Return to Alphaville

Alphaville, une étrange aventure de Lemmy Caution revisited, this time in London's Docklands, where "all things weird are normal in this ho of cities." A hommage to Godard's dystopian vision of technocratic progress.

My favorite quote from the movie must be Alpha 60's noir reflection on scientific logic:
"Once we know the number one, we believe that we know the number two, because one plus one equals two. We forget that first we must know the meaning of plus".

Or maybe Lemmy Caution's "One never understands anything. Then suddenly one evening you end up dying of it."

>>See a great clip from the movie here.

On the cover

Dnevnik, one of Slovenia's three biggest newspapers, spent a day with me for its thursday supplement's main article. They put me on the cover as well, which is great news - I haven't been on any cover since 1976 (that's 33 years!), when Stop magazine published a photo of me with my mother, then a young scrub working part-time as a TV presenter for the national television.

The IN photo was shot by Aljoša Kravanja/Zaklop, the Stop cover by Mr. Stane Jerko, Slovenia's one and only pioneer fashion photographer.

The Ukrainian Beauty

Urge and urge and urge,
Always the procreant urge of the world.
