RED Pro zoom RPZ on an ARRI camera... The 18-85mm T2.9 PL on an ARRI AMIRA
I searched all over the web and could not find a single image of a RED Pro zoom RPZ lens mounted on an ARRI camera, be it Alexa or Amira.
So I made one myself.
Probably the world's first posted image of a RED Pro zoom 18-85mm T2.9 on an ARRI Amira.
The lens fits perfectly, but the thumb "ears" of the ARRI PL mount have to be turned backwards so they clear the back of the zoom. A quick and seamless fix involving 4 torx screws.
A request:
IF SOMEONE HAS THE "SUPER SECRETIVE" INFORMATION ABOUT THE MANUFACTURERS OF THE RED PRO ZOOM 18-85mm T2.9, PLEASE DROP ME A LINE.
I am sure some of you know who made this particular zoom (most likely not DigiOptical, Sigma or Tamron). It was said that "an optical firm in Japan manufactures the RED 18-85 zoom".
Cosina? Fujinon? Who else?
